Karen Pegg

Karen Pegg is a Geelong painter and sculptor.  She uses a variety of materials to pay homage to great Australian icons such as the infamous Ned Kelly, the not so humble cockatoo, towering ghost gums and other symbolic images of the outback landscape.  Narrative in style, she blends rich colors and textures to offer a vision of Australia that the urban and outback dweller can both relate.  Her interest in sculpture has led to her incorporating metal in her paintings, adding another dimension to her work.
